hey yo smelly, pretty surprised to see you here :p anyhow, atm im totally into Ensiferum as well as Gamma Ray (Ensiferum is quite a bit harder than the stuff i usually listen to so beware!) Gamma Ray are pretty good for germans (so are iced earth) which pretty much surprised me at first, but hey, as long as it sounds good who cares :p
@ Talmit: Iced Earth are not germans, they're americans :) But damn good though :)
However, my suggestion now is a group called White Skull. They're italians I think.. and they've got an album called "The Dark Age" that is really good! A song from there would be "The grand inquisitor"
Grave Digger - Rebellion (live at Wacken 2010, with Hansi Kürsch & Van Canto)
the song Rebellion (The Clans Are Marching) is from their 1996 album Tunes Of War.
here are the lyrics for the chorus, if u wanna sing along (which is very likely :P): The clans are marching 'gainst the law / Bagpipers play the tunes of war / Death or glory i will find / Rebellion on my mind.
ALrighty then I follow the big stream of ppl suggesting songs here!
Can't really expect to get my suggestion published but I can always give it a try (Since smelly always seem to get his songs!! ;) )
Progressive rock:
Maybe I'm saying this for the 4th time but I'd really like to see Anathemas Untouchable part 1 and 2. This Album (weather systems 2012) is the best thing I've heard for long time. It's so clean, it's so sentimental, so atmospheric. I watched Anathema live (2nd time) this autumn and it was the best concert I've ever been to!
Untouchable part 1 and 2 is the two first songs on the album.

My suggestion is some old shit from Anathema? :D Or perhaps a good Ayreon Song? :)
i'm not yet sure how far away from classic (heavy/power/etc) metal u people like to go. so i'll stick to more classy songs in the beginning :P
Edguy - Vain Glory Opera (1998)
Black Label Society - Phoney Smiles & Fake Hellos (2000)
i read u want some "dark metal"?
alrighty then...
Autumn Clan - Dissonant Trip
(in case u dont know their album Requiem to the Sun - get it!)
Dreadful Shadows - Chains
Katatonia - Right into the Bliss
Smelly likes Katatonia! :O Damn I will never again rape u on UT ;)
Before we leave this sad music epoke I want to wish for the song "Not unlike the waves" by Agalloch
wait, who said the "sad music epoch" is already over?????
it's still cold, dark, wintry!!!
so here we go, 2 dark suggestions:
Darkseed - Rain of revival
(so we finally get some female vocals here)
Charon - Bitter joy
My suggestion for this week is Candlemass - Mirror Mirror!
Okay I will look for your suggestions, you better write a description about the song/band you are proposing so that I know what is about
i have an old-school request from the band CRIMSON GLORY, with these song suggestions:
Strange and beautiful
Azrael
Where dragons rule
thx! :P
A fresh new suggestion (Eventhough my old suggestions are never posted ^^ )
Pain of Salvation - Ashes
ok ok i got another one...it's long, but i kinda got hooked on the main guitar riff (when u hear it u'll know what i mean) ^^
Saviour Machine - Killer (1993)
Alright! Since smelly keeps coming with good suggestions, I don't want to be worse! :P
I strongly recommend Anathema - The beginnning and the end
If you want me to write something about Anathema then ask me and I will. :D
War // Laz
Ok then write sth about anathema :P
For now I' ve put your Human Equation review :P

- the rise of sodom and gomorrah
- lemuria
- son of the staves of time
