Why I Hate Facebook ( MySpace ,twitter and all crap)

....because...95% of the

1."facers" try rediculusly too much to upload their best picture for the others to see
2. they ("facers") mostly use it to pose to their ex bf/gf or friend that broke their heart (dude get over it)....

3. they enter 19875932 groups that they dont even have a good existing purpose
4. they are self-presented as successful, pretty , independant ,significant units of this world .
5. they dont make friends just virtual future "fans" to praise for
6. they spend so many hours to "dress up" their profile ..and the worst part of it is...

7. they think we care!!!!

For god shake ... facebook is a world wide organization that produces "zombies" around the world , so much devoted to themselves while the most important events stay in the shadow .It is all planned pretty well .

if u really want to communicate with people there is always msn phones trains planes cars bikes motorbikes.. lol...

FACE- BOOK , the word says it all.Its all about face face face .Our selfness screwed up the world.
the only thing acceptable on FB is the free advertising but am not talking about our own faces.

Cheers ,helena

hahaha, you have a point, I swear am the only one without a FaceBook account here where I live. I used to have a MySpace, but I found myself wasting valuable study time and even Face to Face time (you know where the person is actually an arm's length away) just to keep up with MySpace.

Never again will I ever own any Networking site account (facebook or anything like that)

lol helena.

I thought facebook was bad too, until I realized so many of my friends use it, and post news (some insignificant, but some serious, like one was a rape. Think I told you this), so now I'm glad I have it because my friends use it, and now I'm aware if something goes on.

Guess it depends how you use it. It can be either bad and waste of time or good and informative.

Well in my opinion , talking with ur friends or learning their news via facebook might be a good feeling but honestly if you really want to catch up with your friends facebook is not the best way.Personally i would never post a bad experience (or a good) on facebook for i dont like everyone to see, i would share it with those i want. I judge facebook not because am better than that , but because it is creating dellusions and too much fuzz on younger people .It is just a fashionate thing that means nothing at all, and almost everyone fakes to be perfect with perfect 1657593 friends. All these people u have added could live without you, and you could live without them , if you really want to keep close to some people then nothing stops you and even more, facebook is not a one- way and you know it. And yes! when most girls actually confessed me already that they post every Saturday's night pic on fb ,that pisses me off!

Go with the flow they say. There is power in the masses, that has been made known with the coming of the "public" opinion via internet. Most governments are not fond of this, since it gives people a voice like never before. I'm not terribly against facebook or any other public media, but I do have some reservations.

It's like you say, people pretending to be popular, have friends, be successful in every way possible. Most just trying to convince themselves they are happy and content. But isn't that what we do on daily basis? Pretend?

People want to think and feel special, even though in the end we are just a mass of mindless matter, controlled by eachother and our invisible chains of obligations, shame and guilt. It's such a tragedy what humanity has become (or mayhaps always been).

DeviantArt is no exception to this. I'm perhaps a little too elitist in this opinion, but I find it lame that people feel their shaken photos of flowers and sunset are so unique and special as to warrant uploading a myriad of those and fill the internet with such. One should practice some self-criticism in all things.

Dear Skye first of all thanx for visiting :D

I was almost certain you would agree with me on "facebook" matters .Indeed it is not only about facebook but everything fb represents .I am sorry but for some reason i ve also started to wonder where is humanity going. I liked how you put it "mass of mindless matter ,controlled by eachother.." .That is exactly what i dont want to be a part of.Mindless mass.

It is worth saying what inspired me writing this post in the first place.I havent talked to a friend of mine for some years ,4 or so.One day i decided to track her somehow through internet knowing that she was studying somewhere, her name would appear and i would know she is okay. Okay maybe not the best way to approach an old friend but i ddint desire talking to her on phone either.Once i tried she had changed her cell number. So typing her name , a facebook account was brought in light and there she was.Only that she wasnt her anymore. Believe it or not , she was faking a cool person and worst of all she had entered some stupid groups concerning failed relation ships or sth.. I was discussed.Dreaming to be someone else .And facebook was there to help her out.Help her? or throwing her into deeper shit? I am sorry actually.i am.this person could be above all this. And yet her insecurity and the lack of confidence and true friends braught this result.A whole new person on an internet page.Good luck anyway.

"where art meets application"

Well yes seems like everyone wants to feel their work is unique. In fact i d never appload a work of mine , it would be somehow lost this way..right?it wouldnt be much appreciated.worst it could be stolen. have u ever uploaded any work of yours? Speaking about art we would all like to see a piece of your work :))) i ll post it here :P

Yep, I've uploaded some of my works. Mostly since I have need of a digital portfolio at any time I need, and most places have connection, so it's easy. I haven't got many pageviews, but then again, I dont comment other pieces much nor do I advertise my gallery a lot (though in your case I'll make an exception :)

Some of the work are acrylic paintings and others are drawn with a wacom (it's a digital drawing pad if you're unaware). Have a look :)
