Saviour Machine - Killer

Ok ok some information:

Saviour Machine is an American Christian (hello?) metal band that formed in 1989...

Saviour Machine's music and lyrics deal with war, death, and personal introspection as it relates to prophecy and divine revelation.

Despite critical acclaim from the mainstream press and a growing number of fans nationwide, people in some conservative circles reportedly felt threatened by Saviour Machine's lyrical direction and stage presentation, most prominently the white make-up and jewel worn by vocalist Eric Clayton (see pic)..

Saviour Machine turned to the Legend trilogy. Legend was advertised as "the unofficial soundtrack to the end of the world" in promotional materials owing to its study of end-time Biblical prophecy

Eric Clayton has repeatedly stated that Saviour Machine's work will end upon the completion of the Legend trilogy despite Eric's frail health .

In 2011 the band announced on their website that they will perform acoustic, unmasked shows in US and Germany.

The song "Killer" is from their album "Saviour Machine I (1993)

Ah! Nice I've almost forgotten about this band. I know Eric Clayton is really a good vocalist. I discovered him on the Ayreon album The Human Equation. The band biography seems bit lol though but I'll try to hear some more Saviour machine in the future.

thx for posting!

i have to say that Killer is actually the only song from Saviour Machine that i like!
as Laz already said, the guy is a good singer - but most of their stuff is boring imho ... might also be because my doom metal and doom-like metal phase has been over for quite some time now

as for the lyrics: basically i dont mind if bands differ in their opinion from mine (like this christian crap here) as long as the music is good! because i actually listen to music because of the "accustics" and not because of the "content"
i can just as well listen Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, or to viking metal with its praising of violence, or to death metal with its obsession with blood and murder etc ... i dont have to share their opinions or attitudes

but of course, i also have limits beyond which i'm not willing to listen to (let alone financially support) bands

Yeyeye I agree with that! I don't agree with murdering children and torturing souls or whatever it mnight be :P The Blashyrk apocalyptic winter ^^ but sometimes the content (whatever it is) makes extra passion for a little spice up to the music. So I often like passionate music whatever the content might be :D

Well, to be honest, although the melody of a song is the first thing that matters also to me, if lyrics are beyond my limits, I mean too hardcore as you mentioned already, I will not continue to listen to it.

For example AC/DC have so many classic songs that we 'll probably always want to listen but their lyrics are quite silly most of the times.

yeah but actually i dont think anyone EVER liked to listen to (hard) rock because of the lyrics ... i mean, they r just a peripheral matter in that genre imho

but as for AC/DC, i think half of their lyrics deals with sex in one way or another. i agree that most of that is silly, but i also have to say that some of their metaphors r actually kinda funny :P
like "Givin the dog a bone", "The Jack", or "Stiff upper lip"
