Sonata Arctica return to their power metal roots in their latest album, almost eliminating their progressive elements that their two previous albums contained.
The result is an album closer to "Reckoning Night" (but definitely not better), with it's strong and weak moments. The weakness of the album is that it lacks the element of surprise, being rather flat. Power metal fans will appreciate it more but the author's personal opinion is that in comparison with "Unia" it has lower quality, variety and innovative ideas. Sure there are some great songs in there, (Especially the two more parts of the "Wildfire" trilogy), some hits, but in the end it doesn's add anything new to the band.
Cheers!!!
